What cancellation policy do I pick?

Cancellation policies relate to short term bookings only where Dock Skipper handles the payment.

Picking a cancellation policy is an important decision as it will dictate refund amounts if a confirmed booking is ever cancelled by a guest.  All Dock Skipper listings must fit into one of three cancellation policies which are:

  • Lenient
  • Moderate
  • Strict

Each policy has its differences in regards to the amount of money refunded to the guest; it is based on the amount of days prior to the arrival date that the booking is cancelled.  To review the specifics regarding each policy, please review our cancellation policies page.

Since boating can be an industry based on weather, allowing guests to be on a more lenient cancellation policy can result in more bookings for your listing.
